Binoculars, field glasses or
binoculars telescopes are a
pair of identical or mirror
symmetrical telescopes mounted
side by side and aligned to
point accurately in the same
direction, allowing the viewer
to use both eyes when viewing
distant objects. Most military
binoculars are sized to be
held using both hands,
although sizes vary widely.
Military binoculars give the
user a three dimensional
image, for nearer objects the
two views, presented to each
of the viewer’s eyes from
slightly different viewpoints,
produce a merged view with an
impression of depth. Military
binoculars can be used for
hunting, bird-watching,
astronomy or watching the
action at sporting events or
concerts. Tactical binoculars
are great for astronomy, even
with a simple pair, you can
see moons on planets and deep
space objects. Military
binoculars are more portable
and affordable than telescopes.
