Great utility vest! Submited By: Susan R. Doddy on 06/03/2010 I got two vests one in khaki and one in black. I am using them mostly for dog sports--specifically Rally obedience where I needed to have something with an easily accessible pocket since you cannot use a treat pouch in trials and I didnt want to be trying to dig treats out of my pants pockets. So these vests are perfect for this use. They are also perfect for travel because you can put all of your important stuff in the pockets along with things like lip balm tissues pens a tablet a small camera whatever you need without having to use a fanny pack purse or wallet. The vest can easily be removed at airline security checks and easily put back on. Theres a reason all the seasoned travelers use a travel vest!
About the sizing: The sizing is unisex and I originally ordered a medium which was okay but a little big for me. I am 56 and about 130lbs. It would have probably been okay but since I will predominantly be wearing it with just a shirt and not over a jacket or anything I ordered the small size and it fits well and still is roomy enough for me. I would say if you are really unsure like I was just go ahead and order one of each because the vendor I used (Army Universe) was great to work with and the return was easy.
The little white thing that you see on the vests in the upper left pocket is a removable piece of sheepskin which is used for fly fishing. I just took it off. The material of the vest is 55% cotton/45% polyester and I have not washed mine yet but I am not anticipating shrinkage and I wont dry it long anyway. Oh one other thing that I liked about this vest that another reviewer mentioned is that the vest is not too long so when you sit you dont sit on the vest. I also tried another brand of vest but it was actually cut too short so this one is just perfect. For me and what I am planning on using it for you cannot beat the price of this vest. Many other companies are charging two and three times for a travel vest and while I cannot attest to how well made they are or their performance I just wasnt willing to pay more than I did for a vest that I will predominantly be using for dog sports and some travel. This is a nice vest for a very good price!
One more thing when you order sometimes it says olive drab even though you chose the khaki. I was worried that I was going to get the olive one but when it arrived it was the correct khaki color so just choose the color you want and it should be right. Im sure if it isnt the vendor will surely exchange it.

More than expected Submited By: Larry L. Mattes on 08/13/2010 This vest was better than expected. It held everything I could possibly want to carry. As said before it can get a little uncomfortable around the neck but I only found this a problem only when I was caring a couple of lenses. I held up in very extreme conditions and I am very satisfied. The only down side is also one of it strengths. It has so many pockets its hard to remember where you put what.

Its comfortable and pockets are where they must be. Practical well made and nice looking as well. Im very happy with this vest.
