Our Shemagh Tactical Light
Weight Desert Scarf also known
as a keffiyeh, shmagh,
shemagh, yashmagh, ghutrah, or
mashadah is a traditional arab
head scarf or headdress worn
mostly by Arab males. It is
usually a square cloth made
from cotton, which is then
folded in various styles
around the head. We have them
in both light weight and heavy
weight material. It is
commonly worn in dry, arid
climate conditions and
locations to prevent sun
exposure and to protect the
mouth and eyes from dust, sand
& wind. It is made with a
distinctive woven check
pattern originated in an
Ancient Mesopotamian
representation of either
fishing nets or ears of grain.
