Gloves

Hand Gloves or sometimes called mittens are worn on your hands through the cooler times of the year. Hand Gloves come in all different colors and are usually made of cloth, knitted or felted wool, leather, rubber, latex, neoprene, and Kevlar materials. When the Gloves are made of Kevlar the wearer is protected from cuts. Hand Gloves or mittens are almost always padded on the palm and fingers with grip. They are perfectly made for the outdoors which allows pretty much anyone to use them such as Athletes, Military personnel, construction workers, and pretty much anyone that works outdoors. Hand Gloves and mittens are a great source of warmth for the hands. Hand Gloves have either fingerless or fully covered fingers with material in between the fingers. Mittens have no material in between the fingers and then there is a flap that opens up from either Velcro or a hook and loop closure which allows your fingers to be opened up and be fingerless gloves. Hand Gloves and mittens are used for fashion a lot these days by both women and men alike. Hand Gloves and mittens are both unisex. We have all different sizes, colors, and types of Hand Gloves available that can be accessorized with your outfit. We have Winter Gloves, Fingerless Gloves, Leather Gloves, Work Gloves, Insulated Gloves, and Military Gloves.

Fingerless Gloves

Fingerless gloves also know as sniper fingerless mitten gloves are garments worn on the hands which resemble regular gloves in most ways, except that the finger columns are half-length and opened, allowing the top half of the wearer’s fingers to be shown. Fingerless gloves are often padded in the palm area, to provide protection to the hand, and the exposed fingers don not interfere with sensation or gripping. In contrast to traditional gloves, often worn for warmth, fingerless gloves will often have ventilated back to allow the hands to cool, commonly used as weightlifting gloves. Fingerless gloves are also worn by bikers as means to a better grip the handlebars, as well as by skateboarders and rollerblades, to protect the palms of the hands and add grip in the event of a fall. Some anglers, particularly fisherman, favor fingerless gloves to allow manipulation of line and tackle in cooler conditions. The lack of fabric on the fingertips allows for better use of touch screen technology, such as smart phones and tablets.

Fleece Gloves

Polar fleece gloves also known as fleece gloves are a soft napped insulating synthetic glove made from polyethylene terephthalate. Fleece fabric is so warm and soft it’s been used to make pajamas, socks, shirts, and even sheets. Fleece is soft, lightweight, warm and comfortable fabric. Polar fleece gloves are a great alternative to wool gloves, and polar fleece gloves are machine washable and quick dry. A pair of fleece gloves will keep your hands warm while you’re shoveling snow, walking the dog or skating around the ice rink, while allowing more dexterity than mittens.

Glove Liners

Glove liners are thin, supple gloves that are worn inside regular gloves. Glove liners are designed to provide an extra layer of protection against injury, to absorb perspiration and to increase the warmth of the gloves. Glove liners provide extra padding to cushion the hand and protect it from bruising. Anyone who has worn rubber gloves for protection while doing household chores knows how sweaty and uncomfortable the wearer’s hands can become in a very short time. Heavier rubber gloves for outdoor work cause the same problem, and glove liners are the best solution. Most of the glove liners are designed to be worn alone when temperatures are moderate and inside other gloves in very cold conditions. Fit is very important for effective glove liners, the liner’s fingers should be slightly longer than the wearer’s fingers. The material should not be stretched tightly across the palm or the back of the hand. However, the liner should fit snugly, so that all the skin on the wearer’s hand is in contact with it. People who suffer from cold hands all winter should consider wearing glove liners as part of their glove system. They will be warmer and more comfortable for the entire season.

Hand Warmers

Hand warmers or toe warmers are small mostly disposable packets which are held in the hand and produce heat on demand to warm cold hands. They are commonly used in outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing to keep extremities warm and assist insulated clothing. Depending on the type and the source of heat, hand warmers last between 30 minutes to 12-24 hours. Armyuniverse provides specific hand warmers that act as a portable heat source to extend your cold weather activities. Hand warmer is a perfect accessory for hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, doormen, garbage collectors, park rangers and many more. Hand warmers are used by outdoor workers and sports enthusiasts such as skiers to increase the temperature and movements of hands in inclement weather. Heating your extremities through warmers is an important safety precaution used to prevent frostbite and injury.

Insulated Gloves

Insulated gloves act in exactly the same way as regular gloves, but they have one extra characteristic, they allow the wearer to handle dangerous electrically charge items without harm. Thick insulated gloves were typically worn by workers metal processing plants and many other factories. Your most important concern during winter months is to protect your fingers from frost bite. If you are the type who spends a lot time outdoor in rain, cold and snow than thinsulate gloves is your perfect companion. They are perfect for style, functionality, comfort, grace and with these gloves you can work better and stay longer in the outdoor without worrying about your hands. Thinsulate gloves are constructed to tap the cold air molecules inside a smaller space, allowing for better insulation.
